Caroline Herring’s song “Black Mountain Lullaby” (from her newly released CD Camilla) is based on the true story of Jeremy Davidson, a child crushed to death in his bed by a rogue, half-ton boulder from a nearby mountaintop removal site in Wise County, Virginia.
Featured here is Caroline’s live, solo version of “Black Mountain Lullaby.” For the full story behind this song, we recommend reading Caroline’s blog about this song.
