Shooting Stars
by Keilee Mullins
Why do we all wish on shooting stars?
Maybe because we believe
it'll come true.
Maybe we just want something to
tell our wishes to.
Maybe we just enjoy it.
But I don't.
I don't believe it'll come true.
I don't want it to know my wishes.
I don't enjoy it.
Because why would we wish on something
that's dead?
Why wish on something that
can't make our wishes
come true?
It can't even wish for itself.
because if it could, it wouldn't
be dead and everyone
would be happy.
