She is a force of nature.
An inspiration,
Though she doesn't know it,
And as kind as kind can be.
A safe place follows her,
As she can make one anywhere she goes.
and self-hate is to not be spoken in her presence.
Her smile can light up a room and
Her laugh brighten anyone's day.
She reminds people that it's ok to be imperfect.
She comforts when tears are shed,
And even when they're not.
She hugs when hugs are needed,
And assures where assurance is longed for.
But the most important thing she does is inspire.
With her kind
And encouraging words,
She inspires people to become what they strive to be.
She believes in people with more force than
Any I’ve seen before,
In turn allowing them to believe in themselves.
She makes people better,
To themselves and others.
She is an inspiration to many,
Even without knowing.
She is a force to be reckoned with.
She is a force of nature.
Dixie Ritchie is an aspiring Appalachian writer that comes from a long line of love for the craft. Her main goal in writing is to spread the positivity and love she has for her home in the mountains and share the beauty and natural poetic force she finds within it. As she continues her life, especially as she is graduating high school this year, she only plans to take her writing further and really embrace the love for it she has, as well as continuing to spread the beauty of the place she is so proud to call home.
