Still: The Journal
2009-2024

Still: The Journal ended active publication with our Fall Issue #46, 2024

We published three issues a year since 2009, and we felt it was time for us to step away from editing and publishing and into other literary projects.

For now, we are keeping Still: The Journal open, and our archives, as always, are free to use. You can find contributors by issue or by name in our archives. Additionally, you can search our archives by subject:

Our journey could not have been possible without the support of our readers and contributors; we never had any institutional or organizational support, and our editors worked out of love for words rather than any salary. We’re grateful for you, our readers and supporters.

We're grateful also to our other original founders, Silas House and Jason Kyle Howard, whose visions and influences as writers, teachers, and editors remained with us to the end.

We hope to meet you again down the road somewhere. Thank you for reading and supporting Still: The Journal through the years and for helping us know that our work mattered.

Our email also remains open, and we hope you'll send us a line: stilleditors@gmail.com.

With gratitude,

Marianne Worthington, co-founder and poetry editor

Karen Salyer McElmurray, creative nonfiction editor

Julia Watts, fiction editor
